Some sad news
Sadly we have to report the death of staff member
Liz Fyvie, teacher aide, who worked in our Te Puke Satellite class since the beginning of 2004. Liz took leave from work at the beginning of this year to focus on treatment for cancer that ultimately she was unable to beat despite a brave battle. Liz passed away Saturday April 28 and her funeral was held at the Te Puke Citizens Club on Thursday 3 May. Liz was a highly respected teacher aide and friend to us all. Our deepest
sympathies to her husband Alan, children Leighton, Maria, Damien, their respective partners and extended family.
Welcome back to Term 2 2012
Hello everyone, it is great to have all the students back on board. This term we are carrying on our ‘Celebration’ theme and are looking at ‘How we celebrate?’. Our whole school event for this term is a ‘Balloon and Kite Day’ which is on the 21st June.
This term we have Gayna Paris taking on the Associate Principal role from Jo Crean who has taken terms 2 and 3 off for an extended trip to Europe. Eleanor de Vries is taking on a teaching role at our Intermediate satellite class with Monique Eades becoming the Lead Teacher. Hope everyone enjoys their new role.
Have a lovely term 2!
Using the new Riding for the Disabled Arena in Welcome Bay
We have been very lucky to use the new arena and facilities at Riding for the Disabled in Welcome Bay. They have a new indoor areana so we can always access riding no matter what the weather. The students loved it.

We had an incredibly day at our annual Kayak day at Rotary Park. Everyone had a great time in and out of the water. The weather was glorious and we had some fantastic help from Waimarino and Boys College.
Welcome back everyone!!!
We have lots of exciting things happening this term. Our topic is ‘All about me’. It will be interesting to see how each class interprets this topic. Our whole school kayak day is 14th February so we can spend the day with our valentine!!
New Staff
We are very lucky to have 2 new members of teaching staff in 2012.
